Agios Nikolaos park is a Panhellenic Tourist Recreation Center just 4 kilometers away from the city. An earthly paradise in the heart of the Prefecture of Imathia. A breath of life against ecological downgrading.
An overall of 15 acres of the most beautiful land draw life from the springs of the historical and, in many ways, precious river of Arapitsa. The park of perennial plane trees, which is unique in Greece, impresses the visitor at all seasons.
This beautiful place has been financed by the European Union though the program LIFE in order both to protect, to highlight and also to put the bases for an orthological ecological administration.
As a result of this interesting project came the Special European Award of landscape in 1997.
Today Agios Nikolaos park accepts more than 1.000.000 vistiros per year from Greece and from other countries. All visitors have the adility to use the following facilities and activities:
